My main interest lies with Latin Epic, Latin Drama and Epigram as well as Intermediality and Cultural Memory. My book "Anatomizing Lucan – Studies in Lucan's Epic Technique" (Ann Arbor 2012) is mainly concerned with Lucan's poetics and epic technique. My current project ("Reconsidering Cato") studies Cato's poetics and Nachleben. In addition, have edited the Cambridge Companion to Roman Comedy (2019) and co-edited the Blackwell Companion to the Neronian Age (Malden 2013), three volumes on Reading Roman Declamation (2015, 2017 and 2020) as well as a special issue of the Trends in Classics Journal on Intermediality (vol. 11/issue 1/2019).

I have co-organised a series of conferences on Reading Roman Declamation (https://sites.google.com/site/readingromandeclamation/) and one on Roman Cultural Memory: https://sites.google.com/site/romanculturalmemory/home the proceedings of which will be published in two volumes.
