Antonio Río Torres-Murciano earned his Ph. D. in Classics from the Universidad de Santiago de Compostela (Spain). He is full-time professor of Latin at the Escuela Nacional de Estudios Superiores Morelia (Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México) and member of the National System of Researchers (SNI). His research focuses on Latin and Hispanic epic poetryand the classical tradition in Spanish Golden Age. He is author of a Spanish translation of Valerius Flaccus’ Argonautica and a critical edition of the epic fragments of Francisco de Terrazas, plus more than thirty papers in scientific journals and collective volumes.
