Germán Viveros Maldonado

Germán Viveros Maldonado. PhD in Classical Letters from of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). Emeritus Researcher at Instituto de Investigaciones Filológicas, and of the National System of Researchers (SNI). Professor in the postgraduate course in Letters at UNAM. Fundamental research topic: New Spanish theater. He has edited, translated and commented the dramatic works of Plautus, Terence and Seneca; also, the satirical work of Persio. He has published ten volumes of the Bibliotheca Scriptorum Graecorum et Romanorum Mexicana (UNAM). Author of Escenario novohispano, Mexico, Mexican Academy of Language, 2014. He is an academic member of this institution, as well as Seminary of Mexican Culture. He currently prepares “Didactic notebooks” referring to classical Greek theater. He is the founder of the journal NOVA TELLVS and president of the Asociación Mexicana de Estudios Clásicos (AMEC).
