Abstract
Los estudios concernientes a la historia de la ciudad de México son casi incontables, pero cuando de éstos se hace consideración de los que están escritos en lengua latina, la índole incontable se reduce de modo importante. Una parte de los materiales que sirvieron para la elaboración de este trabajo fue recogida en el archivo central de la Compañía de Jesús, en Roma, gracias al apoyo que constituye el convenio de colaboración que existe entre el Instituto de Investigaciones Filológicas y la Universidad La Sapienza.
