Abstract
Una visión tradicional y bastante difundida acerca del intelecto humano en la filosofía platónica es la que consiste en entenderlo como una entidad autosubsistente dentro del hombre, ya sea que ésta se presente como idéntica al alma y en oposición dualista con el cuerpo físico (vgr. en el Fedon], o bien como una "parte" superior independiente y separada del resto del alma (vgr. en República y Timeó)
