Abstract
The present essay tries to contribute to the formulation, in non literaryten 11S, of a n Horatian language's theory, just as it can be reconstructed from the analysis of lines 46-53, 60-62 and 70-72 of the Ars Poetica. On a second instance, the analysis of lines 63-69 and the reading of ode III, 30, render possible to amplify that formulation and to give account of theplace Horace's lyrics hold on the frame of that theory.
