Pentesilea: héroe y mujer. El rostro de la amazona arcaica
Main Article Content
Abstract
The arcaic amazon's face can be recognized by analizing Quintus Smyrnaeus' Interhomeric Episodes, his only poetic work. According to this author, it could be concluded that the figure of the amazon had to be as heroic as other epic characters, but not an antagonic being to the all non-Greek model, as it happened in later periods of its mitopoyesis, mainly in the classic times.
