Pauline Moore is currently a full-time professor at the Faculty of Languages of the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México where she has worked since 1993. She holds a Masters in Applied Linguistics and a Doctorate in Linguistics from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. In the academic sphere she has worked as a teacher, tutor and director of dissertations and theses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. She teaches classes in the areas of applied linguistics and language teaching in the undergraduate and postgraduate courses provided in the UAEMéx. She has also taught research seminars and workshops in exam design, academic literacy in English and research methods in corpus linguistics in the State of México and in other universities around the country. She has presented papers and plenary addresses at many universities both in Mexico and around the world throughout her career. She is widely published in research journals and is the author of several books both academic and teaching oriented as well as having published numerous chapters in academic books. In the Sistema Nacional de Investigadoras e Investigadores or Mexico she holds recognition at level 1. Her main areas of interest in linguistics are semantics and pragmatics, in addition to her work in corpus linguistics and the professional identity of language teachers.
