Brenda Laca has a doctorate in general and Romance linguistics from the Universität Tübingen, Germany. She completed her undergraduate degree in literature at the Universidad de la República, Uruguay, and since the age of 23 has been affiliated with universities in Europe. She currently teaches courses including Introduction to Semantics and Compositional Semantics at the Université Paris 8. She has published in French, English, and Spanish in various fields of linguistics, including semantics, syntax, and morphology. Her specialties are the semantics of grammatical categories, comparative semantics, and formal semantics.
