Resumen

Valiñas presents a summary of the results of his survey of Nahuatl in the state of Jalisco, covering ethnographic, sociolinguistic and linguistic data. He describes the principal characteristics of the variety still used in Tuxpan, including a brief vocabulary and a conversation between a Nahuatl speaker from Xalitla, Guerrero, and one from Tuxpan, that shows interesting contrasts in the two dialects.
