Eyi icnimeh ‘Tres Hermanos’. Análisis estructural de un cuento cómico de la Sierra norte de Puebla

Resumen

The author, Patrick Johansson, analyzes a Nahuatlstory, "The Three Brothers", which was published by the CEPEC from the area ofCuetzalan, Puebla. The story draws on the problematic relation between Nahuatlspeakers and mestizos in the region. Johansson uses the tools of discourseanalysis to discover underlying meaning in the story, and concludes that thetale, through the use of humor and other recourses, criticizes attempts tocross from the world of the Nahuas, into that of the Spanish-speaking mestizos.
