Touraj Daryaee

Holds the Maseeh Chair in Persian Studies and is the Director of the Jordan Center for Persian Studies at the University of California, Irvine, where is Professor of History. He received his PhD from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1999 and has taught History and Iranian Studies at UCLA, CSUF and UCI. He has been a visiting fellow at École Pratique des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales, France, 2010, and has been also Bahari Senior Fellow at Oxford University in 2014. His work revolves around the history of Ancient and Early Medieval Iranian world.
