Psicología en Palestina

Resumen
Se ofrece una visión panorámica de las formas recientes que adopta la psicología en relación con Palestina y en el contexto de la ocupación del Estado de Israel y la resistencia contra ella. Primero se revisan críticamente diversas aproximaciones psicológicas al mal llamado “conflicto” israelí-palestino. Se distinguen aquí dos grandes categorías de estudios que se insertan en las corrientes dominantes de la psicología: aquellos que buscan explicar y ayudar a resolver el “conflicto”, y aquellos que intentan detectar, comprender y tratar sus efectos. Luego se incursiona en otra clase de trabajos que se vuelven reflexivamente hacia los anteriores y que los cuestionan por problemas como su inadecuación cultural, su eurocentrismo, su liberalismo, su individualismo y sus mecanismos de psicologización, despolitización, deshistorización y descontextualización. Estos cuestionamientos permiten entrever una psicología crítica emergente cuya potencia estriba en su conexión con el pueblo palestino.
